Information We Collect

• Ingredients and prompts you enter to generate recipes or meal plans
• Account details if you sign up (name, email, saved recipes, pantry, grocery list)
• Optional email when you ask us to send a generated recipe
• Browser, device, and approximate location data used for analytics and guest rate limits

How We Use It

• To generate recipes, meal plans, and storage estimates
• To keep your saved recipes, pantry, and grocery list on your account
• To enforce guest daily limits and prevent abuse
• To understand which pages people use so we can improve the site

We do not currently run Google AdSense or other advertising networks. This policy will be updated if ads go live.

Cookies and analytics

We use a device cookie (`fyf_device`) so guest limits work across reloads. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage. If `NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID` is configured, we also load Google Analytics 4.

These are first-party or analytics cookies — not ad-targeting cookies, because ads are not live.

Data retention

• Account data (saves, pantry, grocery list) is kept until you delete the account or we close the service
• Anonymous search logs used for ingredient trends are aggregated and retained to improve the product
• Guest generation counters expire on a rolling 24-hour window
• Recipe submissions sit in a private admin draft queue until published, rejected, or deleted

Third-party services

• AI providers (via OpenRouter) to generate recipes — your prompt is sent to generate a dish
• Vercel for hosting and analytics
• Google Analytics 4 only if we have configured a measurement ID
• Email delivery for optional recipe emails and pantry reminders you opt into
