Warm Apple Pie

Classic double-crust pie filled with sliced apples spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar, baked golden brown.

Ingredients

  • double pie crust sheets
  • Granny Smith apples peeled and sliced
  • brown sugar
  • ground cinnamon
  • ground nutmeg
  • lemon juice
  • butter
  • egg wash

Instructions

  1. 1Toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, and lemon juice.
  2. 2Line a pie plate with the bottom crust and fill with the apple mixture. Dot with butter.
  3. 3Cover with the top crust, crimp edges, cut vents, and brush with egg wash.
  4. 4Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 50 minutes until the crust is golden and the filling bubbles.
