Tres Leches Cake

Traditional sponge cake soaked in a sweet wash of condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream, topped with fresh vanilla whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • sponge cake base
  • sweetened condensed milk
  • evaporated milk
  • heavy cream
  • whole milk
  • vanilla bean extract
  • ground cinnamon
  • fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

  1. 1Bake a standard sponge cake, poke holes all over with a fork, and cool.
  2. 2Whisk condensed milk, evaporated milk, and heavy cream together.
  3. 3Slowly pour the milk mixture over the cake until fully absorbed. Chill overnight.
  4. 4Whip heavy cream, vanilla, and sugar to stiff peaks. Spread over the cake.
  5. 5Dust with cinnamon, garnish with fresh berries, and serve cold.
