Tarte Tatin (Upside-Down Apple Tart)

  • unsalted butter
  • puff pastry sheet

Instructions

  1. 1Melt butter and sugar in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat until it turns to golden caramel.
  2. 2Arrange apple wedges tightly in the skillet over the caramel.
  3. 3Cook apples for 10 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. 4Cover the skillet with the puff pastry sheet, tucking the edges inside.
  5. 5Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Let cool slightly, then invert onto a plate.
