Szechuan Mapo Tofu

Cubes of soft silken tofu and ground pork simmered in a spicy, numbing Szechuan bean paste sauce.

Ingredients

Provided

  • silken tofu cubed
  • ground pork
  • doubanjiang (spicy bean paste)
  • szechuan peppercorns ground
  • garlic minced
  • ginger minced
  • chicken broth
  • cornstarch

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté pork, garlic, and ginger in oil, then stir in doubanjiang.
  2. 2Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. 3Gently fold in tofu cubes and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. 4Thicken with cornstarch slurry, sprinkle with Szechuan pepper, and serve.
