Sticky Toffee Pudding
A rich sponge cake made with chopped dates, covered in a sweet warm toffee sauce.

- •boiling water
- •baking soda
- •butter
- •brown sugar
- •flour
- •eggs
- •heavy cream
Instructions
- 1Soak dates in boiling water with baking soda until soft, then puree.
- 2Cream butter and brown sugar, beat in eggs, then fold in flour and date puree.
- 3Pour into baking cups and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
- 4Make sauce: boil butter, brown sugar, and heavy cream together until sticky.
- 5Poke holes in warm puddings, pour the toffee sauce over them, and serve.
