Spicy Soft Tofu Stew (Sundubu Jjigae)

A hot, bubbling stew made with extra soft tofu, clams, and vegetables in a spicy chili broth.

Ingredients

Provided

  • extra soft silken tofu
  • clams cleaned
  • pork ground
  • gochugaru (chili flakes)
  • anchovy stock
  • garlic minced
  • egg

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté ground pork, garlic, and gochugaru in sesame oil in a small clay pot.
  2. 2Pour in anchovy stock and bring to a simmer.
  3. 3Add clams and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. 4Slide the soft silken tofu gently into the pot, break into large chunks, and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. 5Crack a raw egg into the boiling stew right before serving.
