Som Tum (Papaya Salad)
Spicy and tangy green papaya salad pounded with garlic, chilies, peanuts, and lime.

- •green papaya shredded
- •garlic cloves
- •thai bird's eye chilies
- •cherry tomatoes
- •green beans
- •fish sauce
- •lime juice
- •roasted peanuts
Instructions
- 1Pound garlic and chilies in a mortar and pestle until crushed.
- 2Add green beans and tomatoes, bruise gently.
- 3Stir in fish sauce, lime juice, and palm sugar.
- 4Toss in the shredded green papaya, mixing and bruising lightly with the pestle.
- 5Garnish with roasted peanuts and serve cold.
