Pastitsio (Greek Lasagna)
Tubular pasta layered with sweet-spiced ground beef and topped with a thick custard-like béchamel.

- •ground beef
- •tomato sauce
- •ground cinnamon and cloves
- •milk
- •butter and flour
- •egg yolks
- •Kefalotyri cheese
Instructions
- 1Boil pasta and toss with a beaten egg yolk; set aside.
- 2Sauté ground beef, add tomato sauce, cinnamon, cloves, and simmer.
- 3Make Béchamel and whisk in egg yolks and cheese.
- 4Layer pasta, beef, and top with Béchamel.
- 5Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 40 minutes.
