Palak Paneer

Cubes of fresh paneer cheese cooked in a smooth, vibrant spinach gravy seasoned with garlic and cumin.

Ingredients

  • fresh spinach leaves
  • paneer cheese cubed
  • onion finely chopped
  • ginger-garlic paste
  • tomato chopped
  • green chilies
  • cumin seeds
  • garam masala
  • heavy cream

Instructions

  1. 1Blanch spinach leaves and green chilies in boiling water for 2 minutes, transfer to ice water to retain color, then blend into a smooth puree.
  2. 2Sauté cumin seeds, onions, and ginger-garlic paste in butter.
  3. 3Add chopped tomato and spices, simmer until soft, then pour in the spinach puree.
  4. 4Add paneer cheese cubes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. 5Stir in a splash of cream and serve hot with flatbread.
