Lebanese Baklava

Crispy phyllo dough diamonds filled with cashews and soaked in orange blossom syrup.

Ingredients

Provided

  • phyllo pastry sheets
  • cashews chopped
  • clarified butter melted
  • sugar
  • orange blossom water
  • water

Instructions

  1. 1Boil sugar, water, and orange blossom water to make syrup; cool.
  2. 2Layer buttered phyllo sheets, cashew layers, and top with more buttered phyllo sheets.
  3. 3Cut into diamonds and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  4. 4Pour cold syrup over the hot baklava immediately after baking.
