Kimchi Fried Rice

Stir-fried rice cooked with tangy fermented kimchi and pork, topped with a fried egg.

Ingredients

Provided

  • cooked cold white rice
  • ripe sour kimchi chopped
  • pork belly or bacon diced
  • gochujang
  • sesame oil
  • egg
  • toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté pork belly in a hot pan until crispy; add chopped kimchi and cook for 3 minutes.
  2. 2Stir in gochujang paste and a splash of kimchi juice.
  3. 3Add cold rice and mix thoroughly, breaking up clumps.
  4. 4Turn off heat, stir in sesame oil.
  5. 5Serve hot topped with a sunny-side-up fried egg and sesame seeds.
