Katsu Curry

Crispy breaded pork cutlet served over rice with a thick, savory Japanese curry sauce.

Ingredients

  • pork cutlet breaded and fried
  • Japanese curry roux blocks
  • onion sliced
  • carrots chopped
  • potato chopped
  • chicken broth
  • steamed rice

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté sliced onions, carrots, and potatoes in a pot until onions are soft.
  2. 2Add chicken broth and simmer for 15 minutes until vegetables are tender.
  3. 3Turn off heat, break curry roux blocks into the pot, and stir until completely dissolved.
  4. 4Simmer on low for 5 minutes until curry sauce thickens.
  5. 5Slice the crispy katsu cutlet, arrange over steamed rice, and ladle hot curry sauce over the top.
