Greek Spanakopita

Crisp phyllo pastry envelopes stuffed with a savory spinach and feta cheese filling.

Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry sheets
  • fresh spinach chopped
  • feta cheese crumbled
  • eggs
  • butter melted
  • onion chopped
  • dill

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté onion and spinach until spinach is wilted, then squeeze out excess water.
  2. 2Mix spinach, crumbled feta, eggs, and dill.
  3. 3Brush sheets of phyllo dough with melted butter and cut into strips.
  4. 4Place a spoonful of filling on one end and fold into triangle pockets.
  5. 5Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
