Semolina custard baked in crispy phyllo pastry, soaked in lemon syrup.

- •milk
- •fine semolina
- •sugar
- •eggs
- •butter melted
- •lemon juice
- •water
Instructions
- 1Boil sugar, water, and lemon juice to make syrup; cool.
- 2Simmer milk, semolina, and sugar until thick, then whisk in eggs and vanilla.
- 3Layer half of the buttered phyllo sheets in a baking pan.
- 4Pour in the hot custard, top with remaining buttered phyllo sheets, and bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
- 5Pour the cold syrup over the hot pastry.
