French Onion Soup
Slow-caramelized yellow onions simmered in a rich beef broth and white wine, topped with toasted baguette and melted Gruyere.

Instructions
- 1Melt butter in a heavy-bottomed pot and caramelize onions slowly on low heat for 30 minutes until deep brown and sweet.
- 2Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up the browned bits.
- 3Add beef stock and thyme, simmer for 15 minutes.
- 4Ladle soup into oven-safe bowls, place a toasted baguette slice on top, cover with Gruyere, and broil until golden and bubbling.
