Escargot au Beurre d'Ail

Snails baked in their shells with a rich garlic, herb, and butter sauce.

Ingredients

Provided

  • canned escargot (snails)
  • unsalted butter softened
  • garlic cloves minced
  • fresh parsley chopped
  • shallot minced
  • white wine

Instructions

  1. 1Mix softened butter, minced garlic, shallot, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. 2Place one snail in each hole of an escargot dish (or small ramekins).
  3. 3Top each snail with a generous spoonful of garlic herb butter.
  4. 4Splash with a few drops of white wine.
  5. 5Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes until butter is bubbling.
