Crispy Peking Duck (Simplified)

Baked duck legs with a crispy honey-glazed skin, served with thin mandarin pancakes and sweet hoisin.

Ingredients

  • duck legs
  • five spice powder
  • soy sauce
  • honey
  • mandarin pancakes
  • cucumber sliced
  • hoisin sauce

Instructions

  1. 1Rub duck skin with salt and five spice powder, pierce skin all over.
  2. 2Roast duck at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes to render fat.
  3. 3Brush skin with honey and soy sauce, increase heat to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 5 minutes until skin is crispy.
  4. 4Shred the meat and crispy skin.
  5. 5Serve wrapped in mandarin pancakes with hoisin sauce, sliced cucumber, and scallions.
