Classic Scotch Eggs

Hard-boiled eggs wrapped in seasoned sausage meat, coated with breadcrumbs and fried crispy.

Ingredients

  • hard-boiled eggs
  • pork sausage meat
  • eggs beaten
  • all-purpose flour
  • panko breadcrumbs
  • frying oil

Instructions

  1. 1Divide sausage meat into portions, flatten, and wrap around each peeled hard-boiled egg.
  2. 2Dredge the sausage-wrapped eggs in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with panko.
  3. 3Deep fry in hot oil (350°F/175°C) for 5-6 minutes until sausage is cooked through and crispy.
  4. 4Drain and serve halved.
