Ingredients

  • chocolate cake layers
  • canned sour cherries drained
  • heavy cream whipped
  • kirschwasser (cherry schnapps)
  • dark chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. 1Bake chocolate cake layers and brush with Kirschwasser.
  2. 2Whip heavy cream and sugar to stiff peaks.
  3. 3Layer cake with whipped cream and sour cherries.
  4. 4Frost the entire cake with remaining whipped cream.
  5. 5Decorate generously with chocolate shavings and cherries; serve chilled.
