Beef Empanadas

Flaky pastry turnovers stuffed with a spiced ground beef, hard-boiled eggs, and olive filling.

Ingredients

Provided

  • empanada dough discs
  • ground beef
  • onion chopped
  • green olives chopped
  • hard-boiled egg chopped
  • cumin and paprika
  • egg wash

Instructions

  1. 1Sauté ground beef and onions with cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2Stir in chopped green olives and hard-boiled eggs; cool.
  3. 3Place a spoonful of filling on each dough disc.
  4. 4Fold in half to make crescents and crimp edges with a fork.
  5. 5Brush with egg wash and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes until golden.
