Apple Strudel (Apfelstrudel)

Ingredients

  • phyllo dough sheets
  • apples sliced thin
  • raisins soaked in rum
  • cinnamon and brown sugar
  • breadcrumbs toasted in butter
  • melted butter

Instructions

  1. 1Toss sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and rum-soaked raisins.
  2. 2Layer phyllo sheets, brushing each with melted butter.
  3. 3Sprinkle buttered breadcrumbs over the phyllo sheet.
  4. 4Spread apple filling along one edge and roll up tightly. Brush with butter.
  5. 5Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes until golden brown.
